This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets forth the guidelines for acceptable use of the ShareCodeLive platform and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to comply with this policy.
1. Permitted Uses
The Service is designed for collaborative coding and related activities. Permitted uses include:
- Real-time collaborative code editing for pair programming, team projects, and code reviews
- Technical interviews and coding assessments
- Teaching and learning programming concepts
- Running sample code for educational or development purposes
- Using the AI Code Assistant for code explanation, suggestion, and improvement
- Creating and sharing workspaces with collaborators
2. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Service for any of the following purposes:
Resource Abuse
- Cryptocurrency mining, password cracking, or other computationally intensive operations not related to collaborative coding
- Running long-running processes designed to consume excessive CPU, memory, or network resources
- Fork bombs, recursive scripts, or any code designed to crash or overwhelm the execution environment
- Attempting to bypass or exceed rate limits or resource allocations
Security Violations
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' accounts, or connected systems
- Scanning, probing, or testing the vulnerability of the Service without authorization
- Uploading or executing malicious code, viruses, worms, Trojan horses, or other harmful software
- Intercepting or monitoring data not intended for you
- Circumventing any security or authentication features of the Service
Network Abuse
- Launching DDoS attacks or traffic amplification attacks
- Using the Service as a proxy or relay for network traffic
- Port scanning or network mapping of external systems
- Sending unsolicited communications (spam) through the Service
Illegal and Harmful Content
- Creating, storing, or sharing content that violates any applicable law or regulation
- Infringing the intellectual property rights of others
- Hosting or distributing content that is defamatory, obscene, or promotes hatred or violence
- Sharing personal information of others without their consent
- Creating or distributing malware, phishing schemes, or other fraudulent content
Service Integrity
- Impersonating another person or entity
- Interfering with or disrupting the Service, servers, or networks
- Using automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without written permission
- Reselling or redistributing the Service without authorization
3. Code Execution Limits
The Service provides sandboxed code execution for JavaScript, Python, and C++. The following limits apply:
- Code execution has a time limit per invocation (typically 10 seconds)
- Memory usage is capped per execution
- Network access from the execution sandbox is restricted
- File system access is limited to a temporary, isolated directory
- These limits may be adjusted without notice to maintain service stability

5. Consequences of Violations

We may take these actions without prior notice, particularly in cases involving immediate harm to the Service, other users, or third parties.
